Frequently Asked Questions
Got questions? We've got the answers
We're a fully self-catering property. We have everything you need to cook for a large family and all of your esssentials are covered.
Just 3 miles from Ballycaste - No. 34 Straid Road (BT54 6HF)
There's a 'Spar' shop with everything you need just 2 miles down the straight road into Ballycastle
The large house has 11 beds and the cottage has 4 beds and a sofa bed. For a virtual walk around each property head to: https://forestsidehouse.co.uk/virtual-tours/
We do. It's charged at a local rate and falls in line with our efforts to reduce the carbon footprint of the properties. If we incorporate the bills into your nightly price then we find that guests blast the oil heating on 24/7. As much as we love a cosy warm house, we find that our guests spend the days exploring the area and this would be a waste. By charging for heating and electricity studies have shown that this makes people think through their usage. You pay less and the environment doesn't take a beating - that's a win-win!
Whether it's Game of Thrones film sites, beaches, or epic photograph opportunities such as Dunluce Castle, most of NI's top attractions are within a 20 minute drive of the house. It's why guests come back year after year with their families.
Linen - yes.
There are hand towels provided in each bathroom. We hire bath towels for £1.40 each - this is in line with our laundry contract but we encourage guestst to bring their own. Again we're looking after the environment and reducing our laundy loads.
We don't.
